INTRODUCTION
1. Jonah knew God's will and ran from it.
2. Any of us can be tempted in this.
3. It's when we think our way is better than God's.

I. IT'S EAST TO RUN WITH NO STORM
     A. Joppa is the "beautiful" place.
     B. Jonah was selfish to others' troubles.
     C. The sailors tried everything and every God.

II. THE SAILORS HELPED UNTIL THE STORM
      A. We can always find a running partner.
      B. These are fair-weather friends.
      C. God is the only consistent person.

III. REPENTING IS THE ONLY OPTION
       A. We can't bargain with God.
       B. Jump off the boat.
       C. The fish isn't punishment.

CONCLUSION
1. God has called all of us
2. God is relentless in love
3. God is always good
